Products
Here is an overview of some of the main product categories at C.B. Adhesives. Our extensive product range comprises of in house manufacturing to maintain a competitive edge over the competition and is currently distributed throughout Europe.
Hot Melt Adhesives (HMA)
Hot Melt Adhesives help lower costs, improve productivity and minimise waste. Our Hot Melt Adhesives are a quick setting alternative to solvent based glues. They consistently outperform more 'old fashioned' type adhesives. They help bond most foams, plastics, fabrics, woods and cartons.

Our Hot Melts and Low Melts are high performance and solvent free. They are used specifically for the packaging, bookbinding, laminating and labelling industries. They are also commonly used in manual production lines.
Pressure Sensitive Adhesives (PSA)
Our Pressure Sensitive Adhesives offer critical advantages that other types of adhesive can not match. Such as great adhesion to low energy surfaces, a wide service temperature range, adhesive tack, comfortability and many more! They allow bonds to be made during any point of the manufacturing process. Coated and tack free, they are easy to handle and allow glue baths or tanks to be re-filled without disrupting the temperature of the tank.
PSAs are designed for both permanent and removable applications. They are regularly used in the packaging, flooring, patternbook, medical and other numerous specialist sectors.
Water Based Adhesives (EVA and PVA)
EVA or Ethylene Vinyl Acetate is a co-polymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate. It is an extremely elastic material yet incredibly tough. This flexible, porous material possesses low temperature toughness, hot melt adhesive properties, good barrier properties and also has a low odour.
PVA or Poly Vinyl Acetate is a thermoplastic polymer material composed of polymers of vinyl acetate. Pure PVA is a tough, clear adhesive that is employed as a water soluble protect film that is perfect for a wide variety of applcations.
Our current range of water based adhesives are being successfully used across the Printing, Packaging, Woodworking industries as well as many other industrial markets.
Starch And Dextrin
A large and well known class of adhesives are based on starch and dextrin. These play a huge part in industrial production. An example of this is within the packaging industry. It is used to make cartons, paper bags and most corrugated boxboard is bonded with starch adhesive. Starch adhesives are made by dispersing starch granules in water then heating the mixture until the granules burst and absorb water. As the granules swell they increase in viscosity and form a paste or adhesive. Dextrin is a commonly used dry roasted starch because it can be developed into a variety of gums and pastes and the solubility and viscosity can be controlled based on acidity, moisture content, and roasting temperature. Many other porous substrates can be easily joined with these adhesives as they are versatile, low in cost and easy to supply. Another advantage is that their very slow curing rate allows plenty of assembly time.
